Rates on this site are guide figures for planning a budget. Your price is the written quote after the concreter has seen the block, and it can sit outside the guide where ground, access or a small area call for it.

- Split odd shapes. A driveway that flares at the street is a long rectangle plus a short wide one; add the two.
- Stride it out. No tape? A long adult step is close to a metre and good enough for a range.
- Count only the concrete. Beds, lawn and the council footpath are not part of the number.
- Separate the kerb strip. The crossing is built to council's drawing, so running it as its own line shows you what it adds.
- For sheds, use the kit size. The slab normally matches the shed footprint, thickened edges included. Common sizes are worked in the shed slab cost guide.
What is outside the range
The calculator prices supply and laying at the published rate and nothing else. It has no idea whether the truck can reach the pour, how much the ground needs doing, whether the block slopes enough to need a retaining edge, or what your council charges for the crossing application. The site visit finds those and the written quote includes them, which is why a range is the truthful answer today and a single number is not.
